Customer Reviews
Advertised as historical but lacks a historical look. Room was clean and comfortable beds. Stairway needed a sweep. Room is small, only chair is an office chair. They were quick to fix a light that didn't work. The pool is SO cold, couldn't use it! Breakfast is lacking, mostly carbs. The staff wasn't very friendly.
For context, we were here during the off season (January) so your experience might be different. Right downtown within walking distance of the Riverwalk. The parking is a really convenient lot right next door. We got a discount for choice hotels membership so it was only $15 a night. All the appliances worked in the room and it was clean and comfortable. There was a bathroom smell in the hallways but it's an old building and you couldn't smell it in the room so it wasn't a huge deal. The staff was friendly enough. Free hot tea and coffee 24/7. There's a washer and dryer you can pay by the load to use. There's also a printer that's easy to use. The breakfast is small and mostly cold except for instant oatmeal and waffles. They were very accommodating when we asked for more toiletries.
Very well presented Historic hotel! Wonderful staff! Delicious next door is a treat.
Perfect place for a vacation! From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxing and well taken care of. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up for a restful stay. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere was calm and enjoyable, making it easy to unwind and truly enjoy our trip. Great location, excellent service, and an overall amazing experience. We would absolutely stay here again!
Staff was not social, mostly straight faced, not welcoming, no conversation. We weren't never told about a pool! Hotel is very nice, bathtub did have issues clogging on first night. Restful sleep ,um no! There's a rooftop club next door and drunk people singing at the top of their lungs until after 2am. If you like all that noise it's fine but it's not for everyone. The location to downtown is great, we walked. BUT you aren't told about their expensive parking at $40 something per night, until you get there. Outrageous prices for parking. Paying the high prices for the hotel for the location is good but then add the outrageous parking fees, yeah no! Will not go back. We were exhausted and couldn't rest after staying at the hospital for several days. We'd go back just wanting to rest and sl
