Horse Creek Inn - McCook

I have stayed at 4 different hotels in McCook and without a doubt think that THE HORSE CREEK INN is by far my favorite / best. Reasons being , the new owners (husband and wife) are young Go getters! They make you feel as if you’re at home instead of just another person renting a room from them. Instantly as I walked in the young bubbly wife was welcoming and friendly (unlike my experience with the others - won’t name names). The husband on the other hand is equally as welcoming and just wants to make sure you are having everything you need to enjoy your stay to the upmost. Super accommodating, friendly , the rooms are very nice and the AC WILL freeze you out !!’ Which I loved. I can honestly say that I don’t have a negative thing to say about the place. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Oh

Every hotel has its ups and downs. I have minor complaints, Still giving 5 stars First off the front desk staff was very friendly and offered better rate if I booked directly with them (as I had booked 3rd party) I have a minor allergy to cats, an I was surprised to see one roaming the halls, but it was well mannered. I like cats at a distance lol Room was clean where it mattered, I would recommend to housekeeping to dust the headboard and the side tables Bed was very hard, not the bed for me but not leaving a bad review over it Only had decaf coffee in the room Great location to everything Over all I would stay here again.

This is a good choice for a night or two. Comfortale beds. Furniishings and carpet need updates, but the room was clean and comfortable. I first stayed here a few years ago; new owners now. Front desk staff (very polite people) told me that improvements were underway. They are needed. This choice provides good quality for price; it could be better.

Positive: The staff is great, clean rooms Negative: breakfast needs some work if you can call that breakfast. The shower valve in my room could use some attention.

Staff is so nice it’s a family ran business that has gone above and beyond to accommodate me. I have a camper and be allowed me to pay lot rent instead of the hotel room saving me 70 a day then let me move one of his grills to my little camp site. My co worker has a room inside that I use the amenities, rooms are clean, breakfast and hot coffee is ready at six. You can see the son and dad combo upgrading the property by installing a kazzeebo , new grills and I heard hot tubs are coming. We are long stay customers and for the price it’s perfect.
