Had a wonderful stay at Carotel Inn and Suites! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is also convenient and accessible to nearby establishments. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable place to stay in CDO. Will definitely come back!

I booked the rooms online and called the hotel directly to confirm we had at least one ground floor room (my 82 year old mother recently had hip replacement and they don't have an elevator). ||When we arrived, the parking lots were empty. The desk person asked if we could wait 15-20 minutes for him to get our rooms ready (why weren't they already?). The indoor courtyard (which was always the draw for us) had all the lights out (this is where the ground floor rooms are located). We asked about the ground floor room and he said they didn't have any available (obviously no one else was using them). As my mom could not navigate the stairs, we opted to cancel the reservation. ||We ended up going to two other hotels that were booked (it's Heritage Days weekend) and ended up with the last room at

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE. This is NOT a functioning hotel anymore. I’ve stayed here once per year since 2022, and it was always run-down, but it was an acceptable budget hotel. This time, when we checked in, we were told that our room was in “the other building”. This was the first time I learned that there was a second building associated with this property. This “other building” wasn’t even in the same parking lot as the main hotel. We drove around the “other building” and saw that several windows and a door were boarded up. The parking lot was overgrown and full of garbage and dog feces. This “other building” looked like a halfway house. We were very uncomfortable but decided to go in anyway since we wouldn’t be able to get a refund, and we had to stay in the area for three nights. The “

My overall experience at this hotel was horrible. I booked 6 months in advance because it was in my budget and I stayed there before. When I booked the website said the pool and hot tub were open, however when I arrived they were not. I received no call or email of changes of then being closed. The hotel was dirty, smelled musty and the maid was very rude. I only stayed there because everywhere else was booked solid. They did have an included breakfast that was disgusting. Rock hard waffles, horrible coffee and the water pitcher had dirt and debris floating in it. There were guests drinking and yelling in the parking lot until well past 10pm. I would rather sleep in my car then ever stay at this hotel ever again.

**Review Title: “Stay Anywhere Else—Literally Anywhere”** I have stayed in some less-than-perfect hotels before, but this place set a new low. Advertised as a “3.5-star” hotel, I wouldn’t give it half a star if I’m being generous. Where do I even begin? Let’s start with the toilet, shall we? When I walked in, I was greeted with the delightful sight of a toilet that was clearly left uncleaned for God knows how long. But, just when I thought it couldn’t get worse—it did. The only water running to it was *scalding* hot. Yes, you read that right. Flushing it felt like using a boiling cauldron. I don’t know what plumbing nightmare this hotel is running, but it was beyond unacceptable. You couldn't even wash your hands afterward without burning yourself, assuming you wanted to touch anything i
