Homewood Suites by Hilton Oxnard/Camarillo

Hospitality at its finest! I am wrapping up a two week day, and I have been very impressed with the number of staff and the attitudes of everyone involved. Last month I stayed at a different Homewood suites in Reno. That place was terrible, with a minimum skeleton crew, and complete lack of hospitality. This location is 1000 times better, and I will definitely be back. Thank you guys for making it a great visit, with great breakfasts, great service, and staff that is truly ready to go above and beyond if needed.

I pride myself in writing good reviews but this stay was one disgusting let down. After seeing its reviews we booked a room. We immediately tried to relocate and the staff was of no help. The furniture was dirty, curtains torn, carpet filthy and stained, bathroom from the 70’s and there was hair in a bed. |I have contacted Hilton directly and will dispute any charges as at the desk it has a statement posted that if not satisfied first night free. The General Manager was of no help and couldn’t even come out of the office to assist us. Please do not stay here. It’s a disgrace.

Our stay at Homewood Suites in Oxnard, California was unfortunately disappointing overall, though there were some positives. The room was very spacious, which was helpful while traveling with young children, and we appreciated having a separate living room, a full kitchen, and a dining table, which made things easier with two toddlers and a newborn. The front desk staff were kind and polite, and the maintenance worker who assisted us was very friendly. However, cleanliness issues became apparent shortly after arrival. While the newborn was feeding, my sister noticed ants on her forehead, and upon checking further, we found about 10–20 ants near the bathroom mirror along with a spider in the room. I've stayed here before and didn't have a problem, but this last time was terrible. They gave me a room on the first floor and right next to the elevator. I asked for something else and they said they didn't have any. Banging non stop and noise all night. I didn't get good sleep.
