Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston Near the Galleria

I agree with old and musty, bad breakfast. More importantly, the staff and management under Miss Tenisha are not only not friendly but they ignore common international hotel protocols. On three occasions, one after 9 pm, a maintenance man attempted to enter the room even though the DO NOT ENTER sign was affixed to the door, This led us to fear for our safety. One of the maintenance workers who came in when my husband was not present tried to flirt with me while he was in my room and later in the elevator. I felt completely vulnerable. DoubleTree across the street is a lot better.

Our stay at Homewood Suites was fine, but it definitely left a lot to be desired. On the positive side, the location is excellent. Being right next to the Galleria Mall made it easy to find plenty of food options, and we did enjoy having a kitchen in the room. That said, the hotel itself feels pretty rundown. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were extremely flat. We ended up running the AC and the bedroom fan all night just to help drown out the road noise from outside. Our room description online said it “sleeps 4.” In reality, it really doesn’t. The pullout couch could barely fit a very petite 14-year-old, and the mattress felt about an inch thick. I had to request extra blankets just to put between the springs and the mattress so it was even somewhat tolerable. When we as

Positive: I really appreciated the quiet atmosphere during my stay. Also, the two staff members who checked me in/ out were friendly which made the process smooth and pleasant. Negative: The overall room quality did not match the price I paid. I expected better accommodations for the cost. The night front desk staff came across as rude, BAD impression. The long lines for waffles made breakfast a hassle than a convenience.

1st, let me say I wish I could rate the staff separately from the facility. The staff was sooo nice. They were very understanding of our issues and did the best they could to accommodate. ||One of the reasons we had booked this property (other than having a dog) was because I have a truck. The website advertised their parking garage had a 7' clearance, but when we arrived, it was marked as 6'9". My truck wouldn't fit. The property only had 3 sports to park "oversized" vehicles, and they were always taken. I had to go to the Marriot next door and ask to park in their garage that had an 8'2" clearance. I offered to pay but they wouldn't accept and offered me a parking card free. Very nice people there as well. ||As I mentioned before. we had brought our dog. My wife specifically called and

Stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. Loved having a full kitchen and separate bedroom from the living area. I had a small issue with the faucet in the bathtub, but they were on top of it and sent maintenance to deal with it quickly. Prospective guests should be aware that parking is $29 a night, I didn’t realize at the time I booked. It is the only option for parking onsite. It does give you access to a parking garage, so your car is safe and protected, it was just an expense I didn’t initially anticipate.
