Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Polaris, OH

We have stayed at many Hilton properties being a lifetime diamond member, and I must say this experience was really unfavorable. We would not ever stay here again. We were visiting family for a long weekend. The hotel was in a good location for us. Our room on the 3td floor was quiet, which was nice, however it left a lot to be desired. The shower was moldy around the shower pan, which was just gross. The sheets were very old and worn, the towels were very old, worn and need to be changed, the toilet ran unless you played with the handle and the towel bar near the sink fell out of the wall. Positive: Location. Negative: The scrambled eggs were awful. I love scrambled eggs and these were the worst I’d ever had at any hotel. Also, the TV was not easy to use given there was no channel guide. The provided bar code had no channel info in the channel tab.

The rooms are more than livable for a week at a time. Housekeeping does a wonderful job of turning down your room within a stay of several days. The afternoon manager is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in the Columbus area.

My family and I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Polaris, where we had three separate rooms booked. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. During breakfast hours, my husband and son returned to one of our rooms and witnessed a housekeeper entering the room at that time. She immediately exited when she realized they were still inside. After returning from breakfast myself, I discovered that $385 in cash was missing from my purse. I know the exact amount because I counted the cash right before going downstairs to breakfast when I removed some for a tip. When discussing it with other family members, we learned that staff had also been seen entering two of our other rooms during breakfast hours. This directly contradicts what we were later told. At t

It took me awhile to decide where to stay in this area. However it was a Hilton hotel so I could add to my points. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay! The suite had a complete kitchen, a nice sofa (maybe a bed?), and comfortable king. AC was quiet and so was the room that I was in. Breakfast was typical and served well in a clean dining room. After I left, I thought I had forgotten my watch and called back. A staff member went and kindly checked for me. Check-in staff member was efficient and professional. Close to eateries. I would strongly consider staying at another one of these.
