Homewood Suites by Hilton Carlsbad-North San Diego County

Positive: Clean and newly renovated Negative: Only issue was the serving team(kitchen) was kind of rude when we asked a question.

The suites are spacious and the location is convenient for families and longer stays in the Carlsbad area. The room layout and kitchen setup are practical and comfortable. However, the service and overall guest experience were disappointing. Housekeeping was very poor. I requested cleaning several times, but there was no response or follow-up. Basic amenities were also missing — no toothbrush or toothpaste available, and no complimentary water bottles at check-in, which is below the standard expected from a Hilton property. Parking is another issue. The lot is almost always full, and the spaces are extremely tight, making it stressful to park. We needed a convenient spot near(ish) to Escondido for one night within the Hilton family of hotels and chose this Homewood Suites location over other brand hotels as we were traveling with our son and wanted to be able to have separate rooms. It's an all suites hotel so it served that need. The room itself on appearance was very nice, perhaps recently refurbished and felt clean and modern.||We had a couple experiences which made it a little weird though. The rooms have motion detecting lights that you can only sort of control. The shower for example...the light turns off when you're in the shower as it doesn't sense your motion and there's no way (obvious to us) to force it to stay on. That was a bummer for the 2 of us who wanted to shower but had to do so in the dark unless we opened the

Both Leslie and Chris at the front desk went over and beyond. Aces!! Great, friendly customer service from both of them. It had been a couple of years since we have stayed here. There has been some nice updates to the rooms and other shared areas. Nice breakfast, bbq area and pool/hot tub.

We stayed at Homewood Suites Carlsbad and had a nice experience overall. The location is definitely a highlight—very close to LEGOLAND and also just a short drive to the beach, which made it convenient for our family. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with spacious rooms that worked well for us. The included breakfast was okay—not outstanding, but enough to get the day started. Staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. Overall, a good option for families visiting the area and looking for comfort with easy access to local attractions.
