Homewood Suites by Hilton Belmont

Checked in on Feb 22 and the room had a strong vinegar-like smell. I also couldn’t get basic help/amenities, and staff responses were unhelpful. I spent the time trying to get assistance and on the phone with customer service, not actually “staying” there. I left after a couple of hours because the issues weren’t resolved and I was explicitly assured a full refund by customer service. Despite that, I was still charged 270.55 CAD, which is unacceptable , there should have been no charge as they promised since I left specifically due to unresolved issues from their end. To make it worse, I got to know from customer service that the hotel’s system later showed I stayed the night, which is completely inaccurate. Would not recommend based on my experience.

Positive: I liked being able to get a two room suite with a kitchen. It was nice to put the kids to bed and still have a space to hang out with my husband without worrying about waking the kids. Negative: $20 parking fee

We had a wonderful experience at the Homewood Suites in Belmont thanks to Lina at the front desk. We were not hotel patrons and were simply using the car charging facility, yet Lina was incredibly hospitable and generous, checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. What really stood out was that she treated every guest with the same warmth and a genuine smile. When you are tired and struggling, that kind of kindness makes such a difference. It was truly heartening to see such good people. Thank you, Lina, for going above and beyond.

Very rude customer service at front desk. No one was available for a long period of time to check in. We asked for extra towels before we had even arrived and it was not given to us. When we finally found someone at the front desk to assist, she was annoyed by us having to ask about towels and didn't want to go get them but left her friend she was eating with in the lounge and went to get them. We assumed it was going to be a short trip to the towels, such as a closet but that is not what happened. She was gone at least 20 minutes and I can't imagine how or why. When she did return, we barely had any extra towels, she brought one large towel and to hand towels, supposedly for three people for two days this was supposed to cover matters. The room was smelly and had no windows to open

Nice room and well-equipped kitchen, but the customer service was rude. When I asked for extra pillows, the front desk staff replied dismissively and said it was ‘too much”. I was surprised beacuse I never heard a response lime this before when I booked to other hotels and requested extra pillows that I neede because of my medical situation . That guy from front desk’s response was rude and unprofessional.”
