Homewood Suites by Hilton Baton Rouge

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They routinely go out of their way to provide service beyond what is expected. I stay here often for work and it is nice to be recognized and called by name. Coming back here after work to smiling faces and made to feel welcome is as close to feeling like you're "coming home" as you can while on the road for work. Accommodations are always clean and never had any problems. Whenever I have a request or issue, it gets handled immediately and they always exceed my expectations. I'd especially like to mention Dynasty who is always incredibly friendly and goes out of her way to make me feel welcome and taken care of. Obviously instead of looking at just the overall rating when I booked this hotel a few days ago, I should have looked at the most recent reviews! Would never have booked this place had I done so. In the past we have usually loved the Hilton brand and this one is near the luncheon meeting I had today, 10/21. It’s also near a number of restaurants and several nail salons and I wanted to get a mani/pedi this morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was pretty good, but I missed the part about $5 a night for parking? We have never seen a charge for parking at this type of hotel with lots of spaces!? Positive: The staff was top notch. Negative: My room was found with every drawer wide open and the sofa sleeper with the cushions off and the bed partially opened. I had ro fix all of this before I did anything else.

The staff at check-in and breakfast are key folks that can make a stay great. This property has good people working here and go the extra mile to handle any questions or requests that you have. Whether it's searching for an herbal tea or making sure your room is ready when you check in and you have access to anything you need, these are little things that make a difference. The location is convenient to I-10 and there are some decent dining options nearby. The Homewood Suites brand for those not familiar is part of Hilton and all the suites have a kitchette, sitting room, and a separate bedroom. This is really nice when you have two folks with

My Husband travels for work so we often in hotels.... The bed was uncomfortable, the ac unit was surrounded by cracking drywall and you could hear water dripping in there. The bath tub filled with water while showering. There was always people in the parking lot being loud. But the front desk man was very nice and accommodating as we checked in pretty late. So I do appreciate that. The kitchen was nice to be able to cook, although there weren't many things to use to cook with. I had to purchase some items to cook with.
