Home2 Suites by Hilton Philadelphia - Convention Center, PA

Positive: The staff was excellent, they treated you like family they had know forever! Parking was close and it was okay for the price. Breakfast was not bad, but not may favorite hotel Breakfast. Negative: Nope

We were very happy with our stay at Home2 Suites Convention Center, Philadelphia. The location is fantastic. You're next to the Convention Center, Reading Terminal Market, Center City and Chinatown. The service at check-in and check-out was excellent. I'm mentioning Brittany because she helped us check in but I saw how great they all were while we were in the lobby. Hotel was very clean. The room was clean but could use some maintenance repairs. They had a nice big Microwave that apparently wasn't working so they stuck a tiny one on the counter. The door frame in the bathroom wasn't attached correctly so it was wobbling around. And the toilet seat as also not attached tightly so that too was wobbling around. All-in-all the room was great. Pros|Great check-in experience. I rarely write reviews but Vikki at the front desk deserves a shoutout. I arrived early on Thursday morning and she found a room for me that accommodated several of my preferences. she also offered a room upgrade to a one bedroom suite but I declined since it wasn’t going to be on the top floor but Vikki managed to find another room for me on the top floor which worked out. She was very personable and we had a great conversation. She was also professional and thorough and recognized my membership and shared hotel info which I appreciated. She also offered several amenities like shaving cream… she got me everything I requested and then some! She went above and beyond. This hotel is lucky to have Vikki on the team! Wouldn’t recommend staying here. Stayed at this location on a work trip. The first room was late for us to be able to check into, then had lock issues where an engineer was called up twice eventually they moved us to a new room because the keyless entry failed (after multiple requests to do so) The new room was “upgraded” but was quite dirty with hair and stains on the linens as well as multiple lights not working and the AC having ventilation issues throughout with some rooms being at mid 60s and the bedroom topping out at 76 degrees. Very old property with multiple concerns, lots of other hotel properties within walking distance that would be a better experience

The location is perfect. The rooms are huge and modern. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff was very courteous. Hot breakfast included. The only negative is that the parking is expensive. $65 a day. The Reading Terminal market is directly across the street. Chinatown and the fashion district are within walking distance.
