Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago-Downtown by IHG

Alina at the front desk was amazing! She was so friendly & accommodating during check-in & also during my 4 night hotel stay. She memorized my name/room # & anytime I would get something from the mini mart she would say I got you Sarah & would then charge it to my room without me having to stand in line. She also recommended this yummy pasta place nearby for dinner & gave me a coupon for it. They had really great minestrone soup. These are just 2 examples of her awesome customer service. She’s an employee you want to keep around. I travel 1-2 to Chicago per year & usually stay near the Magnificent Mile but there was another nurse conference in town so I decided to try something different. My budget was $200 or under per night. The Hotel was clean & had an Indian food restaurant right next

Good price and great location. There’s a parking lot in front of the hotel down away $25 parking. It’s not connected to the hotel but you can see your car from your hotel window if you’re facing west. Staff was very nice and friendly.

We spend 2 nights in an upper floor room with kitchen without breakfast.||Staff was nice, room was ok. Not more! Loud work outside the street. Kitchen not equipped.||View on construction area. Parking 65 Bucks a day. Meeeeeeh.||Rooftop pool with nice view included.||Located near Willis Tower 10 Min walk and Union Station to take 151 Bus to Madison Ave usefull.

Positive: Hotel location is fantastic. The pictures online are much cleaner than the hotel actually appears. Negative: The hotel got a remodel in recent years. A lot of the old still remains but none of it depicted online. Very low ceilings and marijuana smoke very pungent throughout.

I am going to give 5 stars for the service alone Alina and everyone else I dealt with was so nice and respectful they were excellent at their jobs. The 9yo in our group loved the pool, the adults thought it was a bit chilly. The bathroom is small, but manageable, the lack of fan is kind of a setback. Beds and pillows super comfortable and air conditioning kept the room at the perfect temperature. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
