We stayed at the Holiday Inn Savannah Historic District while traveling with our dog (Lab) and booked under the pet rate, which we found to be reasonable compared to other options in Savannah. The hotel is a bit worn and could use some updating, but as a place to rest your head after a full day out, it works well, especially if you’re traveling with a pet. Overall, we’d consider this a solid three-star Holiday Inn. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Valet parking is mandatory and operated by a third party. While the valet staff were very professional and easy to work with, they did seem understaffed. When we arrived, the limited driveway created backups and a bit of chaos as cars waited to be parked. However, once settled in, retrieving our car was smooth

AVOID! (Or you might be stranded, like we were!) We made a non-refundable (therefore non-cancellable) reservation on 11/24 through Holiday Inn’s site/app for 12/27. We arrived at check-in time at 4pm on 12/27 and did the first half of check-in (presenting ID, credit card to front desk) and were told Housekeeping was behind and our room wasn’t ready yet. They offered to let us leave our bags at front desk and they’d call when our room was ready. 40+ minutes passes so we leave our bags with front desk and go enjoy our evening. Six hours walking around Savannah having a good time. Arrive back at the hotel at 11pm (7 hours after initial check in) and are told we DO NOT have a room. They overbooked and whoever had our room decided to stay. So although we had already checked in and there was sti

This is a very cozy and comfortable hotel, and we really enjoyed our stay here. One of the biggest advantages is the excellent location — it’s very close to the main historic areas, so you can easily explore Savannah on foot. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a gym, which is a great bonus after a long day of walking around the city. Everything was clean and well maintained.Valet parking is available and it is paid, around $40–50 per night, which is quite typical for this area. However, I personally managed to find free street parking nearby, which was a nice surprise.Overall, a great hotel with a warm atmosphere, good facilities, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

I love the location! Central to everything. Riverside street a block away, social club a few blocks away, and everything else. I do not like they allows animals for a small fee. I felt bitten a few times by flees and ticks in the room. I know it can be challenging to care for pets when traveling. They need to be walked everything 4-5 hrs, bath, feed, groomed, etc. Also smelled like dogs in the room. Yet again can be challenging bringing pets w you when traveling. Lots of people have allergies to pets. Breakfast avail for a charge, but was not the best even if free! I would not eat it! You get what you pay for. The location was the best thing about it. I read a lot of negative reviews about the smell of the room. It is because they allows pets in the rooms. I seen one dog urinate in the el

Room was comfy, clean. I was right near gym and pool on 2nd flr. The Saturday night, there were about half a dozen college kids, in and out until late who were slamming doors and speaking loudly and were apparently under the influence. But once they were gone, I was able to spend my few days there just resting in silence between my "go-slow" sightseeing schedule. Breakfast food was decent and all the staff were respectful and helpful. Savannah is a gorgeous city and this comfortable, affordable hotel is in a convenient location from which to see it.
