Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island by IHG

Hospitality at its finest ! We never been to the island before , I told myself I was going to walk into a couple places and see how they were. When I pulled up i’m not going to lie, The curb appeal wasn’t the best but that’s what made it a hidden gem! The rear of the property on the ocean is absolutely stunning. And it’s not often these days where you go to hotel and you’re just treated with the high amount of hospitality and respect. They gave that warm southern old school charming vibe . The front desk lady: manager, I think her name was Caroline , Was such a pleasure and made us feel right at home. And it was my daughter’s birthday the whole staff made her feel special and let her pick the movie and made her day so special. I will 100% stay at this hotel every time I come to the islan

Our first time visiting Jekyll Island. From the moment we walked into the lobby and were greeted warmly by Kim, the experience got better and better. From our excellent dinner in their restaurant ( one Shrimp and Grits, and one Crab Cake sandwich), to complimentary coffee as the sun came up, and a great breakfast before we checked out, the food was wonderful. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed talking to the manager. Outside we couldn't get over how quiet and restful the setting was. We lay in a huge upholstered shelter and meditated to the relaxing sound of the ocean. We've been to Holiday Inns all over the country and this property and the service was surely the best of them all.

Great couple of days during the slow season was perfect for us.||The staff here was extremely welcoming and cordial. I really felt like thwy appreciated us. We were told about all that was available on the property and about the paid peking situation on the island.||The room was perfect and nicely dark at night for sleeping. The restaurant serves a great pizza and mixed drinks.||The only small minus was that the gym has motion sensitive lights and if you are on the Crossramp, your motion is not picked up so the lights go out. Additionally the hand sanitizer was empty and there was no cleaner or towels for wiping down equipment after use. The Crossramp itself, while functional is in need of TLC because the handle grips are coming off and the mechanism is loud.||Overall it was a fantastic

We stayed here for a week and first of all I am pretty sure we were given the best room in the whole hotel since it was off season and we booked well in advanced. Our room was very spacious and had two picture windows facing the ocean… amazing! The hotel itself is very clean. We used our free coffee coupons every morning and Lynda the lady serving the coffee is a definite plus to the staff. She is so friendly. We enjoyed borrowing the cruiser bikes and we used the hot tub in the evening. This was a fantastic 5 star stay.

This hotel has a perfect location, especially for those interested in riding the wonderful bike trails on Jekyll and enjoying the ocean view. It is also centrally located. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful and the Oceanview room that we had was large and comfortable. This is the third time we've stayed here and we weren't going to return because the rooms we had the previous two times were small and needed a lot of upgrading. I'm very glad we gave it another try because the room we had was so much better. I don't know if they've upgraded the whole hotel or not, but our stay this time was great. Thank you
