Holiday Inn Resort Galveston-on the Beach by IHG

I booked a night at this hotel with my rewards points as we were leaving on a cruise the next day. Bella at the check in desk greeted us with a smile and thanked me for being a Gold Elite member. She answered all my questions and even gave my sister and I a complimentary breakfast. Sandra, our server was very attentive and our food came promptly. The room was very nice, clean, loved the balcony overlooking the ocean and the beds were very cozy. The big screen TV was nice too. We ate at Jiggers restaurant on site and the food was exceptional along with the alcoholic beverages. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

They do not disclose a MANDATORY parking fee and resort fee, while not crazy at $25, does make a difference when pricing these places. But really it came to finding a roach in the bathroom, the air conditioner being super loud and the walls having no insulation so we could hear people walking by and next door. We stayed for one night after Christmas as we were visiting family in the area. We didn't know what to expect since we had never stayed her before, but overall, we were impressed. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Karem, who was very bright and cheerful. She had a great personality and made the check in process very enjoyable. Our room was spotless. The newly renovated room was a bit smaller than expected, but it was very clean and the remodel looked great. The wood floors are a nice touch when staying at a beachside hotel. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and it felt like they worked to go out of thier way to ensure every gueat is having a great experience. My husband, grandson, and I had an excellent experience here. Very clean, comfortable room, great staff, good location, beautiful view from restaurant. Nikki in the kid's program was great. She helped us with instructions for some games my grandson and I were looking at. Also taught him how to make a Mardi Gras craft. He was extremely proud of it!
