There should be a negative 1000 stars for this place. Just know that the management here are the most inconsiderate, unprofessional people you will ever meet. I will never stay at this hotel again. The treatment and disrespect were appalling. My father-in-laws surgery was postponed but we didn't get word till 4am the morning of us heading down to Houston. I spoke with a lady at the desk over the phone that was nice and professional and she assured me that she would make things right and help me with rescheduling. Then I hear her say hold on, when she returns she says her manager now is requesting documentation that your father in law was really having a surgery and that it was cancelled or you will be charged for your entire stay regardless if you can make it or not. Outstanding! We stayed during a football weekend for medical reasons and even though the top floors were getting renovated the staff were inviting, warm, and friendly. Monica and Liz from the bar were the best and while Pauline who just started as the shuttle driver drove us to every appointment we had even when we ran super late…. Cuz doctors done know how to tell time. Susan always made sure we had hot coffee and a smile when we woke up for breakfast. Stay here and get to know the wonderful staff… your stay will be amazing! MD Anderson recommended this location. It was exactly the right choice from the front desk support to transportation. Monique was cheerful, professional and informative handling check-in and out services as well as transportation arrangements. Our transportation was provided by Pauline. She was also professional, dependable, friendly, accommodating and a very safe driver (an important consideration). Medical trips of this caliber are often emotionally draining. Knowing you can focus on the task at hand and your significant needs are being reliably attended to is huge. Location, nice rooms and particularly staff made this Holiday Inn the perfect choice for us.

So 5 minutes after I checked in my air conditioner in the room started screeching very very loudly. The hotel was booked solid so no other room was offered. They sent a maintenance tech in who disassembled the air conditioner while I was sitting there watching and sprayed WD-40 on it. How about 2:00 in the morning the screeching started again. I went to the front desk the following morning before I had to head to a local convention I was working and I spoke to the woman there at the counter and forming her that the fan was still screeching. I would be gone for 10 hours and that should be plenty of time to have maintenance repair it. I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Houston. The location was convenient and made getting around easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again.
