Holiday Inn Express Woodland, an IHG Hotel

The room and beds were clean. Bathroom was well supplied with towels. The room has the usual coffeemaker, microwave, etc. The bathroom door finish suggests this place is older than it's shiny exterior and entrance suggests. The pillows were taller than I like and the mattress was too firm, but that's just me. I have that complaint everywhere I go. Also, the 3rd floor above me acted as a bit of a "Drums in the deep" when people walk. The staff person I met was quite affable, and check-in was quick and easy. I'm docking a star primarily over the breakfast. If you like bleached white flour, runny oatmeal, and shudder-inducing coffee, it won't disappoint. I didn't eat the offerings to carnivores. Great location with easy access from the highway. Professional, excellent staff. Property is well-kept. The breakfast was standard, but OH, those cinnamon rolls! My request for a handicapped room was granted and it was great. There was room for my 91 year old mother to move about the room easily with her walker. The bathroom was roomy clean and well lit. I do wish the hotel had sound proofing windows as I was continually awakened by the street noise. Our overall experience was great.

not up to the standards of other Holiday Inn Express. I was initially excited about the pool and hot tub. They need to close that feature immediately and drain and clean the pool and hot tub. A disgusting stench and brown colored water in hot tub. Pool was ice cold and dirty. Definitely a one star hotel as bedding and towels are the poor quality unlike other Holiday Inn Express. Shower curtain was torn desk chair was pealing apart. Hallway not cleaned. Avoid this hotel

this HIX is not at all like a typical renovated HIX I have been using for recent travels between Tacoma and Los Angeles. The room I was in was not set up in a well organized manner like the others. Furniture was worn as well as the towels. Outlets were loose and the tv was inoperative. Coffee maker was situated in a spot that was not really usable. Breakfast service was subpar.
