Holiday Inn Express Wells-Ogunquit-Kennebunk by IHG

After staying at this property several times with good experiences, my most recent stay was both a disappointment and a showcase of incompetence by hotel management. The disappointing part was the room, which had a strong smell of carpet cleaner or similar deodorant, and a very loud fan constantly running apparently on the roof above that pumped cold air and made the bathroom freezing the entire stay. There was also other bathroom maintenance needed, including a loose towel bar, mildew/mold around the shower and an unexplained cracking noise when showering. All was communicated in the immediate post-stay survey to hotel management. I got an immediate, auto-generated response to the survey informing of what a "wonderful stay" I had and how the staff was so pleased I did. Talk about being

Positive: The heated pool and the modern looking interior design. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of selection including multiple hot food items. Negative: Not really. I only marked "cleanliness" a 9 because my bathroom had a small spot in the drywall next to the bathtub that has been damaged and not repaired.

What a great accommodation for my wife and I to stay at! Kayla and Judee were 2 outstanding front desk associates that we dealt with often! We had a medical situation and they provided us with the utmost care and flexibility. You don't anticipate a sober New Year's Eve to be eventful, yet we had several challenges. They were kind, respectful, and bent over backwards to help us in our moment of need! Bravo and thank you! Our room was spacious with a comfy bed and extra large pillows. The room safe and small ironing board were just right for our needs. Breakfast was so nice!! Beautiful mix of hot and cold items to choose from. Unique little pastries, hot oatmeal, and steam trays fresh and ready at 7AM! I loved making mini fresh pancakes on a conveyor belt. The entrance was decorated nicely

They served a hot breakfast including a self serve pancake station They also had omelettes (pre-made) and oatmeal, fruit and more. It was located about a mile from Wells Beach. The room was very clean. We paid about $300 per night for a queen size room in October. Price was competitive to other hotels. There was a large fitness center. The staff were friendly and made me and my wife feel welcomed.

Warm welcoming staff. Easy check in. Clean, bright, modern, and comfortable. My first night was wonderful. Second night...not so good. Family upstairs with noisy, overactive kids who ran and jumped late at night. By 5:30 next morning, the kids were up and constantly running. I could not sleep. Tried calling front desk, but got a recording. Disappointed with inability to stream, as hotel not set up for it. Also the phone charging device was not working. Free breakfast with hot and cold ample variety. Excellent fresh-brewed coffee, tea, cocoa and cold juices. Very tasty! Impending snow storm for ed me to checkout 1 day early with no refund.
