Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waco South by IHG

Needed a last minute, late night room for visiting a family member in the hospital next door. The staff was very accommodating and even compassionate to my reason for staying. Hotel was very nice, room was perfect, and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be staying there again in the future, just hopefully not for the same reason!

The exact opposite of HIE North Waco Area (in West; it's terrible). This hotel is nice, the room was clean, the beds was comfortable, the walk-in shower was good, the included breakfast was great... what else can I say? I'd like a more comfortable toilet seat than the highly-angled one our bathroom had. There. Now it's a balanced review. Seriously, this is a good example of why Holiday Inn Express is our favorite chain.

I travel often for work, and this was by far one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. My company booked and fully paid for my stay, and I provided my debit/credit card at check-in strictly for incidentals—pretty standard procedure. Everything seemed fine until the night before checkout, when I suddenly saw a charge on my card for the full cost of the stay, even though the room had already been prepaid by my employer.||Naturally, I went to the front desk to get answers. The employee working was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment I approached the counter. Jodi the clerk at night is awesome, she is kind and helpful. The morning clerk on the day we checked out (left a day early) could not be bothered to process the check out. The room while spacious shows wear but the main issues were the lack hot water to shower with and the struggling air-conditioning unit. We were asked to vacate for a few hours for routine repair to the a/c.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast even served a little bit early. Not sure if it’s because I mentioned we had to leave right at breakfast time or that’s just how the cook rolls, EARLY AND PREPARED! Rooms were stocked fully and clean. Kids loved the indoor pool; especially the fact it was cold outside and they were able to splash splash and have some fun!
