Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix-Tempe, an IHG Hotel

I had a great experience at this hotel! The front desk staff was amazing — the gentleman who checked me in was honestly so sweet and welcoming. He was even able to get me checked in about 30 minutes early, which I really appreciated after a long drive. That small gesture made a big difference. The location is one of the best parts. There’s so much to do nearby — restaurants, shopping, and entertainment — and some of it is even within walking distance. Anything else is just a short drive away, which made everything super convenient. The room itself was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for my stay. Overall, it was a smooth, stress-free experience. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff are extremely helpful kind and welcoming Overall the room seemed really clean but as the week went on the ac had a really musty smell to it. The towels while seemingly clean were a bit dingy and worn. I wish hotels did better providing hand soap which does not have fragrance in it. They did provide me another option of a bar soap which was slightly better. The gym had decent offerings but is definitely not cleaned ever. The carpeted space had the same dust and dirt on it all week. They did refill the wipes and towels a few of the days injustice they had kept the floor and equipment clean also. Front desk lady was nice and the hotel was clean and newer. You could not sleep though. Crotch rocket screamer motorcycles side through 202 way past 2am. There are way too many light in the room and you can't turn them off. Then at 5:30am the fire alarm went off. Guests started evacuating until it was discovered a false alarm. No half and half for the coffee. Only sugar creamers. It was a terrible stay.

I made reservation from January 15th through the 19th. When I arrived everything was great checked in got my room. The following night there there was a bad odor of a cesspool or wastewater smell. Other people that were there stated they smelled it also. I ended up speaking with whom I thought was the assistant manager by the name of Tiffany to go upstairs to let her smell it but she claims she did not smell it. There's no way several people there complainee what they were smelling in the rooms and hallways and she did not smell it. By the second day nothing had been done about the smell with many complaints that were at the front desk. I decided to reserve a room for another location near but they were sold out and I didn't want to go to far away from where my seminar was so I stayed for
