Holiday Inn Express & Suites Norman by IHG

BUG ALERT Called for a reservation on short notice therefore was told they were sold out except the only rooms available being the suites. Everything was going OK until I needed a facial tissue and when I pulled it from the box a cockroach came out with it. I killed it with the tissue and placed the tissue in the small plastic cup. Took the cup to the front desk and started a conversation with “You may not want to see what’s in the cup.” I explained what happened, she wanted to see the bug then offered another room (non-suite, I thought they were full) so I just asked if she could discount the room, since the base cost was almost $300.00. Check in was easy, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a private living space with it own tv. Bathroom was very clean. And the bed was a king size very roomy. Breakfast was amazing. Eggs and potatoes and toasts. Biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage, cinnamon rolls,and orange juice and coffee was good. We loved our stay! Pet friendly and parking was great. Lots of business and restaurants close by even walking distance. Highly recommend. Lol and the bed and the pillows were super soft

Positive: The hotel was nice and location was great. Negative: My room looked like it had been ill free construction that wasn’t finished. They painted the walls with a different color grey and it looked like it was done by a 3rd grader. The shower faucets were broken and not working properly.

The front desk staff were very courteous and responsive to my needs with a reservation concern and assisted in correcting the situation. Check in was seamless and I was able to get into the three rooms I reserved promptly with out any disruption to my conference schedule. Rooms was great and accommodating. Shower head needed to be adjusted. and some furniture needed to be updated but were still functional. Breakfast was good and provided enough variety to choose a filling way to start my days. Again the front desk was great and ensured my billing was properly taken care of since I used personal and business funding for my stay.

We stayed here on a Friday night while traveling from East to West coast. Arrived later in the evening and there was still enough diamond elite parking open (thank you for the extra reserved spots). The hotel is in a beautiful, safe area. The entrance is grand and welcoming. Check in was quick and impersonable. We really only stayed to sleep as it was a quick turn around but it was a quiet stay (even though it was a Fri night and there were several kids here). I would recommend.
