Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fayetteville-Univ of AR Area by IHG

We always stay at holiday inn express for these reasons. When traveling we book as we go since travel times may vary for the location well be closest to. * always good access from a highway. We typically travel with out boat trailer. * always clean rooms. Ours this time was newly remodeled. Very nice shower * hot breakfast. That's at least $20 and saves an hour of time compared to a restaurant * Good prices. I look up availability on line but call the location to book. I usually get additional discounts

We checked in on a Sunday and at first everything seemed fine. We noticed the room was a bit run down but overall it was fine. On Tuesday night around 11pm our ac unit started filling our room with a very potent smoke smell, we went to the front desk and one of the ladies was very helpful and got us into a new room that night on the second floor. Once we got to the new room there was blood on a towel in the bathroom and blood on the sheet but since it was past midnight at this point and we have a 3 year old we just stripped the sheet and didn’t complain. But then the next day construction was started directly above us. They completely failed to mention this when switching our rooms. My toddler was unable to nap due to the power tools and hammering directly above our beds. We thought maybe

Stopped here for the night. Check in was fast and easy. The hotel is undergoing some remodeling and updates. However the workers are only there from 8-4 during the day. We never heard any noise from the work going on. Nice quiet sleep. Yes our room needed some updates especially the bathroom but it was clean and everything worked. We would stay here again.

Overall a good experience. Very quiet area with food and amenities nearby. I did hear floor drilling above us around the 10am hour as they are remodeling. But it was well after we were awake, and there are signs everywhere disclosing the hours of the day that remodeling will be ongoing. Room was great with large beds and a small "kitchenette" area with a table and two chairs. My only complaints are the desk chair was broken... it didn't raise up when the lever was pushed. And, the hvac unit didn't work properly. The heat worked, but we like to turn the temp down at night and the A/C didn't work at all. Sometimes, turning it OFF wouldn't work and it continued to blow warm air. But we just unplugged the unit at night being it was 32 degrees outside and had brought our own fan. This was in
