Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bourbonnais - Kankakee, an IHG Hotel

I can’t say enough great things about this place! It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and the pillows are ones you want to take home! The breakfast itself is worth coming for! The pancakes and cinnamon rolls are a must have!

Holiday Inn was amazing. The ppl at the front desk were nice and friendly. The manger was great, very accommodating. I love the full hot breakfast. The little lady named Gie is absolutely the best. She makes you feel like your at home. The rooms we're nice clean and smelled really good. The housekeepers are super sweet and very helpful. Overall the best hotel we've ever stayed in will definitely be back.

When I checked in, the hotel was really pushing the "green" stay where they would give you some points if you didn't ask for maid service. I turned it down. That was all they stated. When I checked out, it took some time before I got an email of the bill itself. After looking at it later on, I noticed a $2 safe fee. I tried to email and ask them to reverse the fee, but got no response. So, I called and was given a refund. I eventually got an email claiming that they disclose it at check in. I never remember them saying a thing about it. So, I am assuming that it was somewhere on the form, but not stated and they just hope most people don't notice. Quite oversized rooms, reasonably new facility, cleanliness, oversized lounge, pool, fitness center, washer on site (however, room key did not open this door,) two different size elevators the one to the left is bigger in capacity, event rooms located on 1st floor. * products at breakfast were spoiled. Chocolate milk and regular milk cartons. About a week from expiring but they smelt and tasted spoiled. One sip turned our tummies.🙃

I have never felt so hustled in my life and really regretting staying at this hotel. I contemplated between 3 hotels as I wanted to do something nice for my mom's 65th birthday, I planned a relaxing day of massage, dinner and a hotel suite for her and her partner so we could swim and just relax. I got 2 rooms, one for her and one for me, my daughter and young grand daughters. I traveled 2 hrs in a freeze and when I arrived I was told that I was flagged and couldnt check in, no refunds and I had to leave. I didnt understand what happened. The front desk worker said I was throwing a party and because he heard a party mentioned he has to put us out and report to authorities. I had no clue what he was talking about, I dont know what counts as a party but getting a hotel room for my 65 yr old m
