Fairfield Inn Kankakee Bourbonnais

Slightly dated hotel, but clean, super nice staff, easy location to get to everything!

Upon checking in and going in room, the room smelled musty and stuffy. We turned the AC down and it did not improve as the night went on. There was no handsoap in the bathroom, the tub had a dinge to it, the floor was not very clean and the shower curtain was wet and smelled musty. The sheets on the bed was very itchy and scratchy, no bugs, just not comfortable. The room was uncomfrtable all night as the AC didnt cool offThe niext morning when we checked out and went to breakfast, there were not many options for "breakfast" including bagels that were rock hard and english muffins that were chewy even after toasted. Overall, this location was not to the "Marriott Standards". I have been a Marriott member for over 30 years and would not return to this location or recommend this location.

Terri in reception is wonderful. She has a great sense of humor. Now to the building. If the pool is out of commission (apparently since March), it should be posted on the home page for the hotel. I choose hotels for pools, it's my way to de-stress. I was disappointed after a very difficult day spent with a family member in a nearby hospital. Room had a funky "maybe someone smoked in here at one time" smell. Always love the pillows, they never disappoint. The bed in my room needs refreshing or replacing, not the usual sink in and dream bed that I am used to with Marriott properties. Put a pocket door on the bathroom- it is too small for a door. The bathroom floor was.like a "slip and slide"; I don't know that they use to wash the floor, but they need to change it. Breakfast was just

Due to the nature of my work, I’ve stayed at the Fairfield in Bourbonnais, IL multiple times. The rooms are clean, with no unpleasant or tobacco odors. The furniture, microwave, mini-fridge, and other amenities are all in good working condition, and I’ve never experienced any issues like a clogged shower drain. Breakfast is included, and there’s a good variety of food to choose from. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my stays.

Positive: "" Negative: Hotel is dated and in need of a remodel. Rooms were clean, bathtub just old and looks dirty, but it was clean. Parking lot is small, and not trailer friendly at all.
