Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bossier City by IHG

Stayed here last night. Room was pretty clean and beds were comfortable. It's pet friendly so that's a plus when traveling with pets. Although someone complained that our dogs were barking when my dogs literally barked maybe two times when we entered the room. However they didn't bark constantly considering the people across the hall were going in and out their room most of the night slamming their door. They serve free breakfast. States at 6:30. By 6:45 they still didn't have it ready so we didn't get to enjoy that. It was still a pretty decent stay despite those few issues

Positive: Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Nice cold a/c. Negative: Hopefully the renovations will be completed soon. The door to the room was very hard to open and close.

Being renovated. |This was in need of renovation, but work is actually underway. With that in mind I ranked it as 4 stars, but it was barely 3 stars for the older rooms.|Cleanliness was only okay, some of it from construction work in progress, and the vinyl headboard had a large section (about 8" diameter) damaged/missing. |Breakfast was good.

Nice hotel. The site did mention they were doing renovations, so we weren't bothered by the construction mess down the hall. The only issue we had was that 1) when we walked up to our initial room, it was open. But, it appeared to be due to the top hinge being lose or something, so the door probably just didnt close all the way. So, we just had to lift it to close it. 2) The AC wouldn't turn on. So, we went back downstairs and asked for a new room. No harm, no foul. Updated rooms were nice. Felt comfortable and clean.

Great location. Room was very clean and the air conditioning worked great in room 301. However, my door would catch on the casing and was very loud to shut. I had to force it to close. Stairs were very dirty. Construction happening on floor 2, no problem. However, there were tools and trash everywhere in the stairwells which, in my opinion, is unsafe and unprofessional. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Breakfast and coffee were good.
