Holiday Inn Express & Suites Annapolis by IHG

This hotel met all of the requirements at a fair price. It sits in front of a huge town center shopping area that has a PF Chang’s, Coopers Hawk, Whole Foods, Sephora, Target and lots of other stores. You can walk to all of them in a few minutes. There’s a Mission BBQ that’s practically in the same parking lot as the hotel. Parking is easy and free in their own parking lot. The complimentary breakfast is good, with the standard self-serve choices. The hotel has two floors and there is an elevator. The staff was friendly and professional. My room had a mini fridge, a microwave and ample closet space. I really liked the Dove products in the room. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and body lotion.

During a medical emergency while traveling through Maryland, we urgently needed a hotel close to the hospital. We booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Annapolis, and it was a blessing. Joe at the front desk was incredible—despite our reservation being for the following day, he calmly reassured us and provided a room right near the desk, making it effortless to drop off our luggage and rush to the hospital. General Manager David Jones was outstanding, ensuring our stay was seamless. The room was spotless, comfortable, and truly a haven during a stressful time. A quirky building with good people. What architect would design an addition with floors at different heights than the original building? Somehow they found one, but employees roll with it. Like this: guest laundry needs no quarters, just use the machines for free. Standard hotel breakfast, plus fresh bacon, and someone stopped at the bakery for muffins. Late checkout? Sure, not a problem. And walk across the parking lot to Mission Barbeque. Such a darn handy location I've stayed here six or eight times.

I have stayed at a lot IHG hotels and this was "predicable". For me, that's good. Nice staff for check in and out. Clean, quiet, and lots of places very close by to eat or get some carry out. ||One item to note, it's sits next to a cemetery. We were on the second floor and our window overlook the grave. I am guess those on the first floor got a much more up close view. Odd, I have never seen a hotel with a cemetery next door. Not good or bad, just a heads up!

Nice staff. Decent hotel! Bed comfy. The cleaning staff works very hard, too. Management just needs to invest in better bathrooms. The showers are moldy, as others have shared in reviews. Not good! TV randomly turned on every 2 hours overnight, waking us up multiple times. And the hallway is very smelly and musty. So hallway carpets and walls need some love ASAP. Lobby also could use facelift.
