My wife and I stayed in a 2nd floor room at the Robert Johnson House in Annapolis this past weekend. Location is excellent; right across the street from the capital building. We checked in at the Governor Calvert House over an hour early and our room was ready, which was very nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Robert Johnson House is just on the opposite side of the Calvert House, an easy 3 min walk. Inside of the building was cozy, historic and beautiful. The room was small, but had everything we needed. A queen bed, small desk on one side of the bed and a nightstand on the other side. A large wall mirror, a dresser with a good-size television, and a bathroom with plenty of room to get cleaned up and ready. There were 2 windows in the room and one in the bathroom, so plenty o

My room at the Robert Johnson Historical Inn was okay, but the main issue was the air conditioning. The unit never really worked properly during my stay. I reported it to the front desk, and while maintenance came by a few times, the fix never lasted. At best, it would cool down to about 70 degrees, but by the middle of the night it was back up to 73 and uncomfortable. For the price and reputation of the inn, I expected better follow-through. The history and atmosphere are nice, but the lack of consistent AC made the stay less enjoyable than it should have been.

Well located in Annapolis within walking distance to the main attractions of the city. The room's elegantly decorated and comfortable. Although, if you're a light sleeper the AC might run a bit loud for your taste, but is not as loud as your partner snoring. There's no parking and not a lot of direction from staff about where's best to park besides being told there are parking garages "nearby."

Room and location, great. Close to all downtown eateries, shops, waterfront, Naval Academy. Great spot to stay, right across from MD statehouse. History.

Nice room. Great location. Somebody had smoked recently when we walked in and they were willing to change rooms for us, but since they told us it was supposed to be smoke free we stayed and the smell disappeared fairly quickly. The valets are great and will drop off your car whenever needed during the day. It was the perfect spot for a little weekend getaway.
