Navy Lodge Annapolis

***Unless you are on orders don't count on this facility*** My reservation was abruptly cancelled within 3 days of an upcoming stay without a phone call. Luckily I noticed the email which went to my junk mail folder. Additionally the front staff attempted to seem helpful, but would often refer to the manager who was not available to discuss the cancellation or any policy they may or may not have in place as it relates to cancellations.

PET OWNERS BEWARE! I wanted to love this stay because it was a first little getaway with our adult children and thought it would be fun for Christmas. The rooms are lovely (I booked a family suite and an additional room), but the service is awful! IT'S BEEN A NIGHTMARE!! If you are traveling with a pet, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SHOT RECORDS as they fail to tell you this information when making your reservation! There were errors made from the very beginning...one, not mentioning we needed the records (which happened to another guest too while I was at the front desk). They also booked us for the following year instead of this year. It has been stressful instead of an enjoyable stay. I asked for rooms close together and we were put on opposite ends of the hotel. Just checked in. Room is spacious and has lots of amenities. Does not smell. Really happy with the room. Large fridge with separate freezer. Cook top. Microwave. TV, big desk. Great room.

The first visit we encountered ants in the room. The Lodge has since been upgraded and looks great. The mattress felt old and a bit worn but still relatively comfortable. There was still an issue with a nasty bug crawling on the wall. The staff was courteous, however, one older woman working during the day could use a bit of sugar in her lacking personality. The rest of the staff was exceptionally professional and courteous. The cleaning and maintenance staff were also friendly and accommodating. Other than the one bug crawling across the wall... The room was spacious and clean. The kitchenette allowed us to prepare meals without all the expense of high end restaurants. The local restaurants were exceptional and made the visit more enjoyable.
