Holiday Inn Express & Suites Acworth - Kennesaw Northwest by IHG

Traveling from South GA to the north Midwest and stopped here for the night. The young man who checked me in was very professional and thorough in the check in process. Our room was very clean and had a ton of room even with the extra chairs and chase lounge. Breakfast was hot and ready by 6:30am, even the cinnamon rolls! My family and I took some food to go as we had to be back on the road. Great experience and will keep it in mind should we have to stop in this area again. I loved that they had USB plugs!

As of this review, it was remodeled approx a year ago, but by all measures was cheaply done. Internet was unusable. Pillows smelled. “Clean” towels had hair on them. Bed wasn’t comfortable. Quite noisy from both outside and inside sounds. Would not stay here again.

We are an elderly couple and our Handicapped Accessible room on the first floor was excellent. We especially loved the shower and the open space in the main room. The breakfast was nice both mornings. However, I wish the breakfast had been open until 10:00 on Sunday. We left at 7:00 am to go to an 8:00 am service and rushed back to get breakfast but missed it by about 5 minutes.

Overall, the hotel itself wasn't bad. The front desk attendant, Brett, was wonderful and remembered my husband from when he stayed on an earlier trip. The room we got was the one we booked and it was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a little beat up where it looked like they'd recently replaced the tile floor and there were gouges out of the floor board area and it just looked unfinished. Other than that, the suite was clean and the bed was comfortable. The problem came from the guests in the room above us. From the time we checked in, (10pm) we could hear constant, loud running and jumping. This went on for 2 hours until we finally called the front desk at midnight and asked if they could address the situation. It was handled quickly and within 15 minutes, the loud shenanigans had en

Everything was fine until I noticed an extra pending charge for our room on my credit card prior to checking out. I asked the front desk. They said the charge was for food taken at the snack bar. Me and my family all assured her no one from our party took any food. She said they would forward it to the manager but the extra charge posted a few days later. Then I called the hotel but got nowhere. Same response about forwarding it to a manager. I requested manager’s number but could not get it from her. Had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
