Holiday Inn Express Durango Downtown-Animas River by IHG

The hotel was really clean. The folks working there take pride in what they are doing. The breakfast was good and the person running it did a great job of keeping everything stocked and the eating area clean. The only downside was the parking. There is limited parking in the front of the hotel. There is additional park that you can use on either side of the hotel but it's not ideal for me. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly, always had a smile and made you feel welcomed. The river running behind the hotel gave for great views and the mountains were easily seen as well. The train could be visible in some areas. Would definitely stay here again.

Positive: The location and the staff was very friendly. Coffee was exceptional. Breakfast was enjoyable and good selection. LOVE the grab and go bags. Negative: We stayed 3 nights and 2 of t hose nights we could not sleep because of a very loud low pitched humming noise. IT was so loud that we could not sleep. The staff at the front desk was able to help with turning something off on the air conditioner control.

Another good property by holiday Inn in Durango. Very good location, adjacent to the old historic district. Good parking. Nice and smooth check in. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Ample luggage space and good amenities. Lobby was nice and bright. The breakfast area was overlooking the river. Breakfast was also good. We got the room on level 1 so very convenient. You could just walk across to the historic town for shopping and food. Price also reasonable.

Nice but smaller than average room, thin floors. Comments: Nice room, though again with another IHG hotel which is it that when you book via a “third-party” such as booking.com that you get the poorest room in the hotel. While the room was nice, it was the smallest room on the floor plan and directly opposite the lift, as well as not being top floor as requested. Again, you can hear footfalls from people upstairs. Outlook: Nice outlook on the balcony and over the river. Decor: Modern, well-thought-out and functional room. Desk & electrical sockets: Good desk space with international socket, space for multiple USB charger ports. In-room safe: Yes, a quirky safe in the floor of the wardrobe. Breakfast: Good American-style buffet with choices of cereal, hot food, waffles or muffins, yog

Location location location!!! Right smack downtown, staying here in Durango so my friends and I can easily walk to downtown makes you forget there is no hot tub.... nonetheless, the bfast is filling, the rooms and common area are always clean and smell good, and if you can get parking underground, I'm positive you'll love your stay just as we have for now two years straight.
