Holiday Inn Express Calhoun South

This hotel was remodeled with very nice light colors and bold contemporary statements. The shower was wonderful and there were plenty of towels and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Have not ate breakfast yet, but the selection looked very good. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was very clean and the rooms were nice. The check-in staff was not friendly. I don’t think the hospitality industry was for her. There was a very loud squeak in the ceiling from the person from the floor above walking. Unfortunately, they were up most of the night so consequently, we got no sleep. When we told them at checkout of our experience, they blamed us for being light sleepers (which we are not). |Next time we will choose a different hotel.

From the moment we walked into the lobby we were greeted with friendliness beyond reproach! The rooms were spotless and I appreciated the full size hygiene products in the bathroom, being that I forgot my shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and exceeded our expectations where there was truly someone for everyone from fruit and cereal to sausage gravy and biscuits. We hated to leave because we felt like we were leaving new friends the just we made. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely stay here again in the future.

For any of you who have read reviews from the past that were bad, erase them from your memory. A terrific effort is transforming this inn. Place was immaculate and updated. Rooms were spacious, nicely appointed, wonderful bed. Breakfast was incredible. Scrambled eggs that were light and moist, sausage paddies or sausages, plus biscuits and gravy, hot and cold cereals, pancakes, juices. Only fly in ointment was those damn one serve coffee machines. Lady actually removed my cup and places hers in there when I turned my back.

We have stayed in this hotel for years and it is always clean and excellent!! There’s plenty of luggage space. They have a coffee maker, safe, ironing board, and everything you would need. In my opinion, this hotel is the gold standard, and all hotels should follow the model of this particular Holiday Inn! Also, the breakfast was very nice and their staff is always friendly!
