We stayed one weeknight, chosen for walking distance to Broadway On Chicago and a nearby steakhouse. The location, in RiverNorth, was stunning, overlooking the Chicago River and Wacker Drive. Booked a "City View Room" with an incredible view, breakfast for 2 included, a beautiful, modern, clean spacious room with King bed, couch, chair and fridge for a very reasonable price by downtown Chicago rates. Some of the old school classic Loop hotels I've stayed in can have small cramped rooms with views of a wall by comparison and can be double the price. The included breakfast buffet was better than average, lots of choices, and the cut fruit especially was very fresh. The
The room was pretty good. Unfortunately it was right next to the service elevator and sleeping in wasn't an option after about 830. We arrived Friday night and left Sunday morning. The hotel is odd. It's check-in on the ground floor or the 15th floor. You take an elevator from the ground floor to the 15th floor. Then you walk across the bar area/restaurant to the second set of elevators that take you to your room. The restaurant has great food and our server both nights was awesome. The market was hit and miss for coffee drinks. The first day, Saturday, was great, spot on. The second morning was not so good. Our son enjoyed the heated indoor pool on the 16th floor.
Review, Toronto to Chicago, 4 night stay, Super.com, Couple, Standard King, Breakfast Included. Decent hotel, a solid 3 star. Definitely not a 4 star hotel though. The room had a coffee machine, ice bucket, mini fridge, combo lock safe, ironing board, iron, 4 or 5 hangers, a TV with a USB port and a remote with a input button so you can play your own media...and that's about it. No microwave, no robes, no kettle, despite anticipating those items based off their website. Horrible view, a view of a concrete wall so aero view of anything. Wall sockets are loose as hell so my wall block next to the bed just fell right out...I'd bring a 10 foot cable if you own one. Their body wash/shampoo/conditioner are all Dove brand and installed into the wall so you can move them, the squirt bottles are pa
Hotel was pretty good. A few little annoyances, but these were made up for by the great location; right on the river with incredible views from the windows. It’s a bit of a mission to get to the rooms (up one elevator through the restaurant to another set of lifts and up again). Despite the 3 elevators from the ground floor up to the 15th reception, they took ages. It’s as if only one of the worked and it’s a direct lift! The breakfast buffet was pretty standard with run-of-the-mill offerings - it’s quite a walk to the tables from the buffet area so you get you steps in. Room was pretty good - though it was a good 6-7 minutes for the hot water to run through to the shower. I arrived back one evening to discover the hadn’t made up my room, which was no big deal. What would they have done re
I stayed here from Dec 26–28. While the location is unbeatable and the views from the room were stunning, the overall experience was frustrating due to poor management and maintenance issues. Check-in: We arrived on a Friday evening during the Christmas holidays. For a hotel of this size, having only one staff member at the desk with four available stations was unacceptable. We wasted nearly an hour just to check in, which forced us to cut our evening plans short. Elevators: The elevator situation was a nightmare. It seemed like only half of them were working. Whether going to the 17th floor or back down, there was always a crowd, and the cars were constantly packed. It felt like a quest just to get to the room. Room & Amenities: The room was not up to standards. The AC vent had a thick "p
