The hotel itself was good. Parking was plentiful. The gentleman who checked me in, tall red haired young man was fantastic. He suggested a wonderful Italian restaurant for me to check out called 2051 Cocina Italiana- it was phenomenal. He actually even checked my room preference which is unheard of from a front desk clerk these days. I believe his name was Dylan but I could be wrong. I love the feature for texting you once you check in and sporadically asking how things are. There was also a short curly haired young woman working one evening who went above and beyond to get me some honey when I started getting a little under the weather. Positive: I just want to take a moment and thank the woman who checked me in on 11/6 at about 530pm. She was helpful, understanding, and everything a hotel front desk person should be. She helped raise my spirits after a long day with her cheerful energy. Negative: I was hoping to buy some toothpaste in the lobby store, but there was none in stock

This hotel and its staff are amazing. It's very clean, the customer service is excellent, and the breakfast is the best I've experienced in the last two years. I travel a lot for business and pleasure. I spent a week at this hotel, and the personalized service, variety, and quality of the breakfast every single day were exceptional. I forgot several pieces of clothing in the closet, and Manager Christopher Long assisted me immediately. I received everything back at home with no charge. This was the cherry on top of my already great experience. I will definitely stay there again. The customer service is classy and personalized.

As an event planner & coordinator I can say hands down the holiday inn Carlsbad venue & banquet staff have been some of the easiest and professional people I work with in North County, SD. I have had the opportunity to execute many events for well over 5 years with them and communication is always clear, organization is on point, customer service is top priority for them towards the coordinator and the client. They work as a team with you and really make you feel confident in any case scenario, they are there to have your back and make sure that the event is executed properly.
