Holiday House Inn & Motel

It was another great stay at The Holiday House, directly on a beautiful Maine Beach. I chose an Inn room with many windows offering multiple beach views. Starting the day having a nice breakfast in the dining room of a former large home is pleasant. You sit admiring the seascape and relax. The outside inn terrace is also beautiful and going to the beach in front is perfect. The Inn is nicely situated to take full advantage of the beach at Pine Point.

What a wonderful place to spend a few days after the crowds leave on Labor Day! The weather is just as nice, and the Holiday House is a comfortable trip back in time to when staying at a summer cottage meant relaxing in an Adirondack chair with a good book and a fantastic view of the beach, listening to the surf and keeping the cell phone off. Our room in the main house gave off a sense of vintage comfort, from the original knotty pine paneling to the antique furniture. Above all, the inn is very clean, and the live-in owners and staff (Steve, Mary and Hannah) are super-friendly and have created a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how super clean everything was and how warm and welcoming the staff were. It’s clear they enjoy working there—and that says a lot about how the business is run. It feels good supporting a place that takes care of its team. We also really appreciated the cleaning staff, who not only kept everything spotless but also greeted us warmly every day. The Holiday House Inn and Motel isn’t just a vacation spot—it’s a tradition, a coastal ritual I’ve upheld twice every summer for the past three years. One trip with the boyfriend (cue peaceful beach mornings), and one with the ladies: myself, my teenage daughter, her friend, and her friend’s mom—otherwise known as the annual teen tornado tour. You don’t just stay here—you step out your door and into a postcard. The beach is right there. As in, barefoot-and-holding-your-coffee close. Don’t feel like wrestling with sand? No worries. Grab a chaise lounge, plop down, and soak in the view: waves rolling in, breeze in your hair, and that briny Maine air that smells like summer freedom.

I would recommend this place sheerly on how we were treated by the staff. Very kind and outgoing folks. Upon checking in the first time, Hannah greeted us with warm hospitality and a sincere interest on how are travels have been. What a wonderful, young lady! Because of how nice we were treated, we decided after visiting Bar harbor we would stay a couple more nights. I'm glad we did!! We met Steve, the owner, when we checked in the second time. He told us how everything came to be as it is today. Very cool story! And as we left, we met Mary! Also a very wonderful lady! Sometimes great attitudes override all the greatest of amenities in the world! At least for me. As people have said, this place is very quaint but we did not mind it.
