This is a great campground! Tent sites have a mulched tent pad, and are spacious although sorta close to other sites. The camp store has a lot of cool things and they will physically bring you ice and firewood right to your site when you call it’s like room service💕 they are super friendly. The showers were clean and the property is well maintained. There is a dog park, a rc car track, and gem mining.
Location & wifi were good. Site was awful. Site was small with no privacy, the entire site was unlevel, our tent pad was unlevel and only a foot from the road, not dark due to being so close to the building with lights on all night. Also, they did trick or treating and had activities which was nice for kids but they shut down the campground(no driving to or from sites) without notice.
The campground was nice. It was indeed very hilly, so be prepared for that and brush up on your backing-in skills. The pool was a great break and the activity center was also a nice break from the heat where we could have a large group of folks playing cards/board games and be away from the bugs. The campstore had firewood and all the camping needs, even pizza and ice cream. The HH State Park visitor's center was only 10 minutes away, so this campground was ideally located near most of the primary great hikes in the area. From our campground, we drove to the visitor's center and did the 2 mile loop to see Old Man's Cave and the other sights. Then we drove to Cedar Falls (another 15 minute drive), and then another 15 min drive to Ash Cave. That was day 1. And then on day 2 we went nor
Our stay was wonderful, we so loved our spot. The cleanliness and helpful staff made our stay awesome. The entire campground was very quiet and clean , food was fantastic and delivered to our camper amazing. We are already planning our next trip to same spot .
I drove up here in winter and didn't realize they were closed, but the few people that were there and leaving came out and were so nice. They sparked a conversation, didn't push me, and let me figure out my directions. Wonderful interaction!
