Hocking Hills Cabins & Resort

We had the most wonderful two-night stay at the Aquarius cabin, steep driving conditions, but still very drivable and wonderfully maintained, gorgeous grounds, when we first walked into the cabin, you could smell the fresh cut wood, so adorably cute yet Masculine, you could enjoy the snowfall from inside the cozy cabin with how much natural lighting and windows there were. Everything was really clean, warm and welcoming with plenty of lighting options, local catalogues, we definitely enjoyed the hot tub on the deck which was just two steps away from the sliding deck door, so no need for a robe. I am a returning guest at Hocking Hills Cabins and Resorts, and unfortunately, this recent stay was deeply disappointing.|The cabin had multiple maintenance issues — the sliding glass door would not lock, creating a serious safety concern. My boyfriend had to place a stick in the door just so we could sleep without fear someone could walk in. The jacuzzi cover was broken, the remote only worked intermittently, and several basic items that were included in previous cabins (like an iron, dish rack, and privacy screen) were missing.|When I reached out to management afterward, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. Beautiful cabin, comfortable bed and all you need for the kitchen. We wanted a weekend get away with the hot tub but on Sunday someone came and treated it with way too much chlorine and we were unable to use it at all for the rest of the trip. We had to get out after only being in for a few minutes. No privacy either if you want to use it because your tub faces the other cabin. It truly made us have irritated sinuses and headache as well as eye irritation. Since that happened I was hesitant to leave a review because it was upsetting. I got an email wanting to know what time we were checking out with instructions. I had to pile the towels up and strip the bed and then someone wants us to leave a tip for housekeeping. My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon last year and had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and was the perfect escape out in the woods. We spent an entire weekend mostly just around the cabin enjoying the space, and enjoyed how close it was to town when we wanted to go visit the shops in the area. This place not only scams people but lies and blames the guest everytime they get a negative review. I can't believe they are saying i damaged light fixtures??? I have no idea what they are even talking about. They are also lying because Airbnb is actively helping me with this case. I have bodily injuries from the property that STILL have never been acknowledged. Instead, they are lying about me being a disrespectful guest. This place is absurd. I noticed how they seem to have an excuse for everything they do wrong, not just in my review, but ANY negative review. I guess they will take care of you if you keep your mouth shut about all of your bad experiences lol.
