Hilton Vacation Club Ocean Beach Club Virginia Beach

Last week I stayed at the Hilton Ocean Beach Club Hotel. It's not my first time staying at this property and it won't be my last. I chose to come during winter so as not to compete with too many other visitors for relaxation, peace and quiet. I usually come when the weather is warm. I was checked in by Marquita who was a delight from beginning to end with my check-in process. I had an ocean front studio room with a kitchenette in it which made it nice to put simple things together to eat when I didn't want to venture out too far. These rooms have floor to ceiling windows which makes watching the ocean intoxicating. I saw a school of dolphins practically every morning which made my eyes dance. By my second night I was having comfort issues with the bed and rose my concern at the front

This was our second time staying here and had some hiccups I didn’t remember the first time. Started off great, we were able to get early check-in and started enjoying the hot tub as soon as we arrived. Love the 21+ option. Room was nice and it’s great to have the extra “kitchen” area with supplies. Only issue was there was a very strange, loud noise late in the night that kept us up for a couple of hours. We stayed city-side, so would probably ask for ocean side next time. Would also be nice to have a coffee shop inside the hotel. It was raining and windy in the morning so it would have been nice to stay in and enjoy our morning coffee not have to leave to get it. Staff were very nice at check-in and check-out!

There was an Undisclosed $260+ deposit when arriving. We got a balcony room, the “main” door adjoining the suites was locked, had to run downstairs from 6th floor, 3 times to figure out the adjoining guest locked the main door. Finally get in the room, there is no TV remote, the front desk doesn’t answer- so another trip to the front desk. They will notify the engineers. It’s been hours. Oh and let’s not forget the mold in the fridge! Yuck. Do not waste your money.

We came in the first couple days of December. So we had off season pricing. We got an ocean side ocean view room with a balcony and a single king bed. The view was incredible. The sunrise in the morning was spectacular. We were able to sit in bed with the sliding door open and watch the entire sunrise. This was the highlight of the room. The only problem we had was a shower that kinda leaked onto the bathroom floor. A pile of towels on the floor was what we had to deal with,no biggie tho. We had a small kitchenette in our room as well. It was handy especially with the full size coffee pot. To me a full size coffee pot is a great feature. The balcony was relatively private. We could hear neighbors but could not see them. The sister hotel definitely had the better pool with a hotub.

Positive: Location Negative: No shower curtain in bathroom, telephone in room did not work, was suppose to be an oceanview room but it was on the side of the hotel, and no cookies
