Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton! From check in to check out the front desk staff was amazing. We are Diamond Members and we received an upgrade to an ocean front room in the Rainbow tower and it was absolutely spectacular. It took my breath away and provided the most magical view of the ocean and the Friday night fireworks. The resort has lots of shops and restaurants and several beautiful pools. Even the hair and body products in the room were high level! A fantastic escape at this property.

I’ll be honest. The room itself is nice enough and the property is well maintained. The weather and scenery are beautiful as you’d expect in Hawaii. That said, this area feels like a Disney-style tourist resort built almost entirely to separate visitors from their money. It’s surrounded by skyscraper hotels, crowds everywhere, and very little of the quiet island atmosphere I was hoping to experience. That may be exactly what some travelers are looking for, but it wasn’t what I had in mind when coming to Hawaii. I came hoping to get away and relax, not to feel like I was in a massive tourist circus. If you enjoy large resort environments with lots of activity, you’ll probably like it here. It nice but it's a little dated. The room is very nice with a decent view. The property is a little crowded and the Tapa bar needs a good cleaning. People are helpful and very pleasant. The amenities are not as good as they use to be. They no longer have the breakfast buffet but instead you must order on the restaurants. The food prices are high. The Happy Hour food, which is discounted, is not worth ordering. I feel this place is no longer a resort with amenities but just an average place with high prices.

We originally had a room in the Diamond tower on the 10th floor and were shocked by the gross brown carpet that covered the room. It felt dirty and our blankets were extremely damp/wet. We did not want to take our belongings out of our bags because the room felt dirty. We had a horrible first night but were switched to the Tapa 9th floor for the rest of our one week stay. The room was much cleaner and updated. The rest of our stay was very pleasant. The cost was very high but it seems you are paying for the wonderful location more than quality of rooms. The pools need maintenance and the water seemed dirty. We did not swim in the pools at all|For this reason. The beach is perfect. Though we did not want to pay the astronomical fee for chairs and an umbrella. We bought an umbrella and campi

We were a family of 3 (6 year old kiddo) and absolutely loved our stay at HHV in early January. We were in the Rainbow tower Lagoon view, and it was spectacular! Loved waking up to the beautiful views every morning. The resort has everything you need. Multiple Starbucks on property (one which is open at 5am which was perfect for my early days!). The resort is a little tucked away from the main Waikīkī strip, but we loved the walks. It took about 10-15 mins to get to the main strip via a quick stroll through the park. Just a beautiful resort with all the amenities you’d want. Can’t wait to go back!!
