Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The gentleman behind the front desk was wearing an Applebee's shirt, hair pick in his hair, not a friendly person at all. Asked a few questions about places to eat he had no idea. When giving key to the room he just tossed it down on the counter. No greeting from this person at all. Very rude. After taking our luggage to the room and leaving to go find a place to eat this same front desk clerk was checking in a black couple and he was smiling and talking and directing them to the elevator. I suppose this person has a problem with white people. What a shame, I would have given a better rating, this type of interaction is a Don't stay here review. Elevator was broken so it took a very long time to get wherever you needed to go within the hotel. Food in hotel was good enough to eat if you don’t want to leave. & the location is perfect if you want the mix of the calm and l beach shopping. And a few blocks up there’s plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Great place for families to visit and couples.

We stayed for a little staycation from December 19 through the 21st! I will say that the service is impeccable. Front desk is amazingly nice. Valet is unbelievably nice. They go above and beyond. I liked the bar/restaurant inside the hotel. The view from our hotel room was beautiful. My son’s absolutely enjoyed it. The breakfast was amazing. We loved everything about our stay. The only thing that I would add to this that I gave four stars for was the pool area was not great. It was super cold. Going inside to swim. There was dirt all over the swimming pool all over the bottom of the swimming pool nothing had been really maintained in the swimming pool area.

Room on the ocean was absolutely fantastic! It was incredibly clean - spotless. Room service was very helpful with more items needed for the room. Front desk staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. The valet was great as well! This has been my favorite hotel to stay at by far & can’t wait to come obtain! Also- the pool is relaxing, quiet & well kept. Loved it!

I needed a nice getaway, to relax. The staff were awesome!! Everyone was very accommodating. From the front desk staff, to the engineers, valet, cleaning crew, concierge, restaurant staff and bartender. They also welcome pets. My cat was enjoying her vacation too. 5 Stars!! I will be back!!
