Customer Reviews
My family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and the location was within walking distance to many places. However, both nights we had to call repeatedly to get towels. They only provided 3 knowing we booked for 5 people. Then cleaned the room the next day and left 0 towels so again we had to call multiple times for towels again. We also had a leaky toilet. Thankfully the maintenance staff took care of that quickly. The staff was ok but on their phone quite often when we went into the lobby. Overall it was decent.
For the value, it's below average. Staff at check in was personable and responsive. |1. No Hilton parking. Parking structure next door was $42.00 per 24 hours/night, though all signs on the wall showed $40.00. No in and out privileges. |2. Even on the 8th floor, the room smelled of kitchen odor from nearby restaurants.|3. In the hotel, restaurant and bar was not open during our 2 night stays (Sunday & Monday) though the front staff clearly explained the hours. Weird. |4. Carpet in the room must be replaced, long overdue. |5. Housekeeping replaced towels, removed trash, etc, BUT did not make the beds. Weird. |6. This hotel is long overdue for a huge face lift, painting, caulking, decorations, etc. |7. One plus is that the hotel is literally next to the Terminal Market.
The hotel's location is simply the best: so close to Reading Terminal Market and Chinatown, and relatively easy to walk to most of Center City. Our room was larger than most we have stayed in, and the bed sleeps very comfortably. Great value for the price! We could hear some outside noise, but I imagine that is because we stayed overnight when the Eagles won the NFC Championship at home. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and extra security measures make the hotel feel safe.
Excellent service Tanya was a professional and very helpful. She gave me directions of different attractions for me to see, she gave me all the information the hotel and I felt like a family. Starting from the front desk, all the way to the kitchen's employees including all the rest of the Hotel's staff, they made me feel like at my home.Attractions. CarlosRodriguez.
We stayed for e three nights while on vacation. A short (sometimes medium) walk to just about everything in center city - - - Readington Terminal Market, the Convention Center, the Kimmel Center, Walnut Street Theater, etc., etc. Rooms were clean, housecleaning was regular and thorough, and all of the staff was friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
