Hilton Garden Inn Medford

Overall awful experience. Hotel was under construction, which is understandable. But, as construction business owners this was a mess. Nothing was contained. Drywall dust everywhere, paint dripping as people are walking in. It actually caused me to had asthma issues, and it continued even on the weekend days. Dumpster being used for hours and hours a day right outside our window. Pool chemicals were giving kids reactions that are very used to hotel pools. Fridge, tv, and heater all had issues on our room. But, biggest issue of all is lack of costumer service. So the bank declined my payment the day I booked it. Flagged it as fraud whatever. This property is being renovated and I ended up with an older style room 234. But you know what? It was clean and comfortable feeling and actually my favorite hotel out of 4 on a work trip throughout the central/western parts of the state.|The bed was comfortable, the windows had good light blocking and I didn’t even hear the interstate. The bathroom was sufficient (even with corrosion on the mirror, likely soon to be replaced with the reno!).|The clerk at the desk was efficient, friendly and accommodating to my Hilton status. |This seems to be a good choice for the Medford area.

Let’s starts with good. Room was excellent. Cleanliness and quality is what we have come to expect of the Hilton room. They were remodeling but it was respectful and didn’t affect our stay. The negative… there is no Hilton included breakfast. That is one of the main reasons we choose Hilton. The breakfast is consistent and the same everywhere you travel but it was a paid breakfast. No coffee in the lobby either. It was a disappointing morning.

Location is great. Not far from the 5 freeway. Check in process was smooth and easy, being winter season walk in without booking possible, though i suspect this may not be the case in peak season. Room is clean, neat and modern. Carpet in hallway is clean, bright and welcoming. If used to soft mattress you may be in for a few tosses and turning.

Positive: Nice staff, clean rooms Negative: Literally no lobby/comfortable sitting space to hang out in. We wanted to play cards, but there was literally no where to do this. More space should be re-allocated for open lounge (vs. "restaurant").
