Hilton Garden Inn Idaho Falls

As a Hilton Diamond member, I was extremely disappointed with the front desk service at this property. It was, without question, the worst I’ve encountered. When we checked in, the card on file was not the one we intended to use. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice this until checkout. At that point, we asked the front desk to switch the card. Instead of resolving the issue, they charged the original card twice and the new card once. When my wife called to request a refund for the duplicate charges, the front desk representative was shockingly rude. Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, she repeatedly said, “Well, you shouldn’t have checked in online then,” and spoke over my wife throughout the conversation. We never miss a chance to spend a night at this hotel when we have to be in town overnight. We love the king suite with the amazing view of the river. The service here is always stellar, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the location is perfect.

Positive: River view Negative: The jets in the spa were weak, the rooms are small but clean.

The reason for the 2 is because of the room. The rest of our experience at the hotel was lovely.|The lobby is nice with a double sided fireplace on one side with some seating behind it, and an on site restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. There is a small store that provides amenities like toothpaste, deodorant and such. You can even purchase beer. There are 2 small 1 person checkin desks located at the back of the lobby, off to the left of the entrance, right next to the hallway leading off to the rooms. We were greated by a friendly employee and had no trouble checking in. Though I didn’t like having to pay a $50 non refundable fee for “incidentals”. Especially when I had prepaid for our room. The room in question was on the first floor. The windows were so dirty you couldn’t see

We've gone here twice in the past year and both times have been amazing and we plan on returning. The river views are awesome, you can walk right to the Snake River from the hotel. The service is great, the rooms are bigger than we expected. The pool is nice and very private.
