Hilton Garden Inn Beaufort

Very good value for money. Very friendly staff, especially at breakfast. Given that the quality and condition of hotels in the US has declined significantly in recent years, this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Rooms in good condition, modern and clean. Great bed. Good breakfast by US standards. Very quiet location and all dining and shopping options just around the corner. I wish all chain hotels in this category in the US were like this. I would book this hotel again. One of the few hotels in this category during my stay in the US that does not use disposable plastic everywhere; especially at breakfast, there was proper stainless steel cutlery, porcelain crockery and glass tumblers. Unfortunately, this is rare enough in the USA to be worth mentioning.

Positive: The hotel is new and nicely located near restaurants and shops. I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff at the bar. Negative: The check in staff weren’t that friendly. I’d say they need to hire friendlier front desk staff. Or incent them to be friendlier.

What a great central place to stay. From the front desk all weekend long to the bar and kitchen staff at night to the breakfast crew. Everyone was exceptionally nice and friendly. The night auditor was the only one that wasn’t very friendly. Pretty much didn’t say anything when we come by him a couple times. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was actually really good for hotel food. They had a good selection of food. They also have a bar and kitchen!

We were attending a graduation at the Marine Base, and we stayed at this hotel due to the proximity to the base. The hotel was clean, the lobby was nice and offered, a bar, snacks and nice space to sit. Breakfast is offered in the morning at a $15 cost. The front desk staff was very attentive, especially Jocelyn. Big shout out to her, as she tended to us most of the weekend, offering us help, with various items. We can't say enough kind word about her!

My wife and I stayed for a week. Day 1, no breakfast. Day 2, staff at the breakfast shouted at us with the cost of the over priced buffet. Saving grace was the bar staff was friendly. Mold in the shower. Rooms were loud as we could hear everything in the next room. For the cost, our next trip to Beaufort we will not be returning.
