The Emerald Stays

My mother and I booked a room here for my son’s Marine Boot camp graduation last month. The room was lovely with an extremely comfortable bed and a stellar walk-in shower! The place was also quiet and peaceful while still being conveniently located downtown and close proximity to the base which was a blessing. And although the stay was top notch, the staff even surpassed that with their helpfulness and friendliness. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay! Thanks to the entire staff! 😊

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Large showers and bathrooms. Very soft bed and 4 great pillows. Great fridge and microwave area. Easy, self check-in. Additional items available and easy to locate (e.g. extra loo rolls, water, teas, toothbrushes/shampoos etc, Pack n Plays, steams, iron and ironing boards). Staff (albeit offsite) provided quick responses to any questions. Great aircon / heating. Lots of parking available. Downtown Beaufort was a 5-10 minute walk away so great location. ||Cons: No staff on-site (can be slightly nerve wracking in terms of safety if a woman on her own). The table on my balcony appeared not to have been cleaned for a while. The “lock” on the door leading to the balcony was not very secure. Rooms overlooking the road can be noisy during the day. The Emerald is a very nice boutique hotel in Beaufort, SC. The location was very convenient to the downtown and historic point district. The room was comfortable with good amenities. I suggest adding at least one chair in the room and furniture for the cute outdoor balcony. I booked through Trip Advisor but I had to call to get the facility and room check in code on day of arrival.

Think of a small hotel with the concept of Airbnb... This place operates as self-service with codes to enter the bldg and to enter your room. This is quite interesting and at first made me wonder about safety. My room was clean and quaint and had a small balcony. One of my windows had a crack though. I didn't like the fact that the heating and air unit was located above the bed on the wall a couple of feet or so above the headboard. I was glad to see a fridge and microwave in the room. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet. Stayed for a romantic getaway but would not recommend to stay here alone since there is no staff onsite.

I just came with my husband for a one night getaway and we were blown away by Emerald Boutique Stays! The staff were available and easy to reach. They replied to emails very quickly. The rooms are large and gorgeous. They also have great pillows and a sound machine! The location and parking is very convenient. And all at an affordable price point! We plan to return!
