Cuthbert House Inn

Cuthbert House is a hidden gem! Time spent at the Cuthbert House is a pleasure. The house itself is historical, charming and well-maintained. Our bedroom was well-appointed and comfortable. If I recall there was carpentry issue being addressed. .The common area was more than comfortable for chatting, or relaxing. Other guests were friendly, always a bonus. Breakfasts were homemade, casual and delicious. Chris and Suzanne Ram are wonderful hosts. They joined us for the "happy hour!" The Cuthbert House location is superior. It is close to the water, and central to many sites, activities and restaurants in the Beaufort area. We were so glad we decided to stay at the Cuthbert House.

My wife and I just returned from another wonderful stay at the Cuthbert house while visiting the Low Country. Married in this beautiful B&B 30 years ago, we have returned often over the years. The hosts and owners of the Inn, Suzanne and Chris, are incredible stewards of this historical property. Very involved and impressively detailed oriented, the place has never looked better, and we have enjoyed getting to know Suzanne and Chris over our last visits. In addition to Suzanne and Chris, The entire staff at the Cuthbert House made us feel like we were home again. We spent a dream weekend at Cuthbert House. It is a gorgeous property that has been recently renovated by the new owners, Suzanne and Chris. They have thought of so many extra amenities and services to make this historic home so wonderful. The inn is located within a short walk of the historic downtown and the marina. The rooms and common areas at the inn are so beautifully decorated and everything is arranged for maximum comfort and luxury. The chef presents wonderful breakfasts with anything you could want in dining areas that overlook the shoreline and old oaks with Spanish moss. There is an afternoon happy hour with a delicious hors d’oeuvres selection plus beer, wine and champagne. There are not enough complimentary words to describe our wonderful weekend at the amazing Cuthbert House. The inn itself is so beautiful and comfortable and has a rich Southern history. The food and treats were delicious and plentiful. And the staff is exemplary. Robert and Christy were our concierge team and they took particularly good care of us. By the end of our stay, we could count them as friends! The inn owners, Suzanne and Chris, joined us for happy hour often and are delightful. They have created the perfect atmosphere to enjoy Beaufort and to make all their guests plan to return for another stay.

Having stayed at the Cuthbert for the third time now, I can say without a doubt that this is an absolute must visit. The Cuthbert is beautifully well kept, the staff is extraordinarily helpful and kind, and the rooms are fantastic. The location is perfect, as it allows access to downtown within walking distance. The views are one of a kind, with the Spanish moss trees in the front yard. If you’re looking for a low country experience that can’t be beat, this is where I would stay. Make sure that you attend the social hour, there are always friendly faces and great company. The breakfast provided is a fantastic way to start the day.
