Rhett House Inn

We stepped into heaven on Earth. Our room, in the “Cottage” was decorated in gorgeous blues and white, with fine antique furnishings. In the bathroom was a huge whirlpool bath. The coffee station was loaded with a variety of of Kcups, and bottled water to make the coffee.||We enjoyed homemade (semi homemade) desserts, and were sorry we missed afternoon cookie and wine and cheese times. Breakfast, which was solid, is included in the room fee.|The library is gorgeous, and the staff are quite friendly. |We got a fabulous deal - about $167 - because it was low season and there is construction outside the main house. ||I cannot wait to return.

I absolutely love this place!!! The history, the decor, everything! I stayed in room 14 which is in the cottage house. I had a nice cozy gas fireplace and spa bathroom. The bed was so comfy with lots of pillows! The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I enjoyed evening tea, cheese and desserts. The inn is only a 5 minute walk to downtown Beaufort. The breakfast was a delight! Unlike most B&B’s tiu got to order off a menu. The blueberry pancakes were devine! Thanks for an amazing stay and i cant wait to return!

We always stay at inns when we travel, preferring personalized service and local flavor. We were not disappointed with The Rhett House. Our room was in the cottage across the street. It was cozy and comfortable, had a fridge (important!) and lovely little electric fireplace. They have a nice selection for breakfast, served at individual tables (our preference). The nightly happy hour and dessert offering was just icing on the cake. Within walking distance of the downtown area and waterfront. Definitely go for some good southern hospitality and charm.

The building is circa 1820 and is showing its age. Rooms are fatigued but we had a pleasant stay. If you are looking for an authentic stay in an antebellum inn this is one to consider. They put cheese, crackers, and other tasty meats, olives, etc. each evening. That treat ids followed by delectable desserts around 7:00 PM. They have wonderful breakfasts! Free and cooked to order. We found the tailored to the guest breakfast, evening snacks and desserts to more than make up for the room. While we were there they had an exterior renovation underway.
