Hillcrest Inn

We had a wonderful stay here! The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, yet still quiet and relaxing. The home was clean, comfortable, and very suitable for our family. It had all the essentials, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Communication with the host was smooth and easy, which made check-in and check-out a breeze. Overall, it was the perfect spot for our trip, and we’d happily stay again!

Been going to the Hillcrest for 20+ years...same friendly owners...best spot on the beach :) The ocean is right across the street. From the porch of our ocean front room you can see the whole beach (approx 1/2 mile stretch) of beautiful / clean / Hampton Beach. Free parking. Never have to move your car to go to the many shops, restaurants, and bars with music and fun! Did I mention there is also an outdoor pool?|Tell them Denise sent you!

BE AWARE!! I have never staying in a more disgusting place as I have here. I can deal with outdated but this place was just plan gross. From ceiling tiles falling off, mold in shower and bathroom walls. Baseboards falling off and rotting. The carpets were gross and would not ever suggest walking barefoot. The AC unit on the balcony is a huge hazard as it's right where the table and chairs are and it's rotted & rusted. The common areas are also very dirty with old dilapidated furniture and fixtures and 100 year old worn carpeting. Oh and there are not elevators so plan to lug all your bags up multiple flights of stairs. We thought staying right on the main boardwalk would be a nice experience to be close to everything but it was NOT worth the money they get for these dumps.

Positive: Location to beach Negative: Room is not conducive for two people. I had to army crawl every night to get into and out of bed. Bed was against the wall and there were two of us. Shower curtain had mold. Ceiling tiles damaged. Outdoor chairs on balcony were filthy. Staff not present.

Perfect! Location is excellent and my room has a great view of the ocean which is churning right now. Had 3 wonderful helpers bring my bags in from the parking lot & up the stairs (2 trips because I always bring too much stuff) which was so very appreciated....thank you!! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Definitely return!!!
