High Sierra Condominiums

Our stay at this mountaintop condo in Ruidoso was truly wonderful! The drive up was beautiful, winding through pine trees and mountain views that just kept getting better. The condo itself was cozy, spotless, and perfectly set up for a relaxing stay. We loved sipping coffee on the balcony each morning, taking in the gorgeous panoramic views — it honestly felt like we were on top of the world! Peaceful, quiet, and close enough to town for easy exploring, yet tucked away enough to feel like a true retreat. We can’t wait to come back!

Unit was located high on a mountain and offered excellent views. It has limited parking in front of each unit and any additional car or cars have to park up the hill at the office parking area. The unit itself was outdated and needs to be renovated. Not enough seating in the living area for six guests as we had a three bedroom unit. As to their defense, I think they were renovating some units so maybe the unit we were in was on the list.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Stayed here last weekend, to say these rooms are FILTHY is an understatement. The kitchen cabinets and knobs were covered in grease, there were spiderwebs everywhere, live BROWN RECLUSE SPIDERS in each bathroom. The carpet is stained, cheap and mismatched. Tile in the kitchen and living room was broken with sharp edges, almost cut myself walking on it. The SEPTIC HAD ISSUES while we were there, several repair/maintenance people walking around, talking loudly early in the morning woke us up several times. Our balcony was right over the repair site which STUNK LIKE SEWAGE so bad every time we went outside. To add insult to injury, nowhere online does it say that pets were not allowed. I would absolutely avoid. The location is gorgeous but the facility is very outdated and run down. It was clear that our unit has not been fumigated in quite some time. Lots of spiders and small bugs in every room of our 3 bedroom unit. Lock on Sliding glass door to balcony was broken in a locked position so we could not access balcony. The pull out sofa bed was broken and un usable, plus the mattress was completely gross/unsanitary. Worst part, guests upstairs were blasting music until 4 am. While staff can not control guests behavior, there was NO answer at the front desk or after hours # when we called to complain. There was not even a voicemail set up. The entire facility needs an update

The view of the mountains was incredible. The condos need a refresh and better locks on the doors. No overnight staff on duty and it was completely deserted in the area and not great lighting on stairs up to our room
