Hideaway Inn Maine

My friends and I rented out the entire inn for a long weekend and we had a wonderful time. Rick and Charles were fantastic hosts and very accommodating of some special dietary needs. We fit 15 of us comfortably in the inn with plenty of common space to gather, eat and play games. We skied and skated nearby; coming back to the cozy blankets and fires was a treat!

My husband and I had an incredible stay at the Hideaway inn. Both Rick and Charles were very kind and accommodating during our stay. Their care and attention to detail is very obvious. We had everything we needed and more during our stay. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Every morning we enjoyed excellent coffee, local baked goods, eggs, bacon, and the best potatoes. The inn is beautifully decorated and in a perfect location for exploring Camden! I hope we are able to return and stay again one day.

It’s just as lovely as the photos! The hosts were so kind and gave excellent recommendations. The location is perfect — you can easily walk downtown, and the inn sits on a charming, quiet street with easy parking. Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy and comfortable, and they even had all the subscription TV channels.||I stayed in the room on the first floor (the one that looks like a second front door), which was perfect since I tend to overpack and appreciated not having to use stairs. I prefer small inns and B&Bs over hotels for their homey, intimate vibe, and this one absolutely delivered.||I’d give it more stars if I could — you should definitely stay here if you’re visiting Camden!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway Inn. Rick and Charles were welcoming hosts, great communicators, and have a wonderful eye for detail. The Inn was beautifully decorated and the room was spacious and comfortable. It is walkable to all the shops and restaurants in Camden, and was the perfect quiet and convenient location. Breakfast was insanely good - it was the highlight of our visit! I would highly recommend the Hideaway Inn to anyone looking for a tasteful and comfortable B&B, with the bonus of exceptional food. We can’t wait for our next trip to Camden!

We felt so welcome at The Hideaway — a huge thank you to Rick and Charles; you are the charming hosts that people write books about. You could teach classes on hospitality and all that that includes -- your initial greeting; recommendations for the best cocktails, food, museums, shopping, etc.; from toiletries to linens to thoughtful room layouts; your inn is worthy of a sophisticated magazine spread. It is beautifully decorated/curated, cozy and warm, and walkable to the waterfront, shopping, restaurants, etc. We wanted for nothing. And, I haven't even mentioned your breakfasts -- unlike anything we have experienced — absolutely extraordinary.
