Heifer Hut

The night we spent at this hut will be a family story told for years. This night benchmarks the worst sleeping conditions of all time. Between the 100 degree cabin, mosquitos, ants, and spiders inside the cabin. We lasted about 1 hour before sleeping 2 adults more comfortably in the cab of my truck. Paid for 2 nights but stayed for one. Best decision we made that weekend was to leave early. I hope this review helps another poor soul looking to stay here in July.

What a wonderful experience, we stayed for 3 days in late October. We had lovely weather with clear cool nights. The Heifer Hut is bare bones as a cabin but has the basics necessities for a backcountry spirited hut vacation. We enjoyed the the ability to cook with the cracking wood stove in the background.
