Gorgeous lake. I’ve never seen water so clear. The campground is set up great, with sites spread out, a designated food prep/hang area and a great campfire area (though we couldn’t use it due to wildfires). The Ranger gave us some great pointers and the 7 mile hike was awesome. As someone who’s out of shape and a novice hiker, it starts to wear on you at mile 5. However, we made it in under 3.5 hours and the views were worth it.
Awesome campsite! Stayed here in July 2019, gorgeous! Good for hammocks!
Lovely backcountry campground, and a nice hike.
